TV mounting and furniture assembly
Flat-pack builds, wall mounts, shelving, blinds and curtain rods. Fixed to the wall properly and the packaging taken away.
What we assemble and install
Packaging and cardboard can go with us when we leave. If a delivery has left you with a garage full of it, that is covered on the junk removal page.
What the wall is made of decides the fix
A TV mount is only as good as what it is anchored to. On drywall, a mount is fixed into the studs behind it, not into the board. Plaster and lath needs locating differently again, and masonry or brick needs masonry anchors and a hammer drill.
Hollow-wall anchors have a place for light items like a curtain rod or a small mirror. They are not what holds a television. Weight, screen size and how far the arm extends all change what the fixing has to carry, which is why the first thing we do is find out what is behind the surface.
Worth having ready
The box, with all its parts
Flat-pack instructions and hardware live in the packaging. If a bag of fittings is missing, it is better to know before we arrive than halfway through.
The mount, if you already bought one
Mounts are sized by screen size and weight. If you have not bought one, tell us the TV model and we can advise before you do.
Where you want it
Height, which wall, and whether you want it centered on the wall or on the furniture below it. Marking the spot with tape is enough.
Power and cables
Think about where the outlet is and whether you want cables concealed, because that changes the job.
What changes the price

Common questions
Do you supply the mount, or do I?
Either. If you buy it, check it is rated for your screen size and weight. If you would rather we sourced it, tell us the TV model and we will price it with the job.
Can you hide the cables in the wall?
In many walls, yes. Power cable run inside a wall has to be the right type for that use, so the usual approach is an in-wall rated cable kit or a recessed outlet behind the screen. Surface trunking is the simpler alternative where in-wall is not practical.
Can a TV go above a fireplace?
Often, but it is worth checking the heat above the opening first and how high the screen ends up. Mounting too high is the most common regret, and a tilting or pull-down mount helps.
What if a part is missing from the box?
It happens with flat-pack more than you would think. We will tell you what is missing so you can claim it from the supplier, finish what we can, and come back for the rest.
Do you assemble in the room it is going in?
Yes where possible, since a built wardrobe will not always fit through a door. If access is tight we build in place.
Do you take the packaging away?
Yes, if you want it gone. Flat-pack generates a surprising amount of cardboard and polystyrene.
